Suburban Folk @ cj's café in bronte
Burlington-based John & Sheila Ludgate are a folk/roots duo known for their strong rhythms, tight harmonies and original songs. John has been playing in clubs and pubs, coffee houses and music festivals for over 20 years and has won numerous awards and FACTOR grants for his songwriting.
Several years ago, Sheila, also a songwriter, joined him on bass and together they have been performing as a duo across Southern Ontario and into the Montreal area. Their first CD - “Passengers” - received a nomination at the Hamilton Music Scene awards. Their second CD - “Suburban Folk/Suburban Tales” - pairs their folk sensibilities with a roots/rock interpretation.
